Our Journey
From Public Hardship to People’s Movement
The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee’s journey began with public resistance against rising flour prices, electricity bills, governance failures, and the growing economic burden on ordinary citizens across Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
What started as local protests soon developed into one of the most organised civil-society movements in the region. Through public mobilisation, strikes, negotiations, long marches, agreements, and continued demands for implementation, JKJAAC became a united platform for citizens, traders, transporters, students, workers, lawyers, and community representatives.
