Official SOPs Announced for Chattar Chowk Muzaffarabad Long March & Sit-in
The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has issued the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all participants of the Long March and sit-in at Chattar Chowk, Muzaffarabad. The guidelines emphasize participant registration, mandatory identification documents, strict prohibition of weapons, adherence to designated leadership, maintenance of discipline, and compliance with security measures. All attendees are requested to carefully review and follow these SOPs to ensure a peaceful, organized, and successful event.

SOPs for the Long March and Sit-in at Chattar Chowk, Muzaffarabad
Every participant must carry an identification document. At least one of the following is mandatory: National Identity Card (CNIC), Passport, Form-B, or Driving License.
All core members should make every effort to provide participants from their area with the contact number of the Long March and main camp.
No individual will be allowed to participate in the Long March while carrying a weapon, nor will weapons be permitted inside the camp.
All core members shall ensure the registration of participants from their area, union council, constituency, tehsil, and district.
All core members shall maintain a record of the vehicles traveling with them from their area.
No participant in the Long March shall be masked or disguised. Likewise, no one may enter the camp wearing a face covering. Even face masks will not be permitted.
All core members shall be fully responsible for the individuals accompanying them.
Individuals participating independently in the Long March shall also be bound by the instructions of the core member from their area.
If any individual engages in immoral, illegal, or criminal activity, security personnel shall have the authority to present that person before the relevant area’s core member.
No individual or group shall travel independently within the Long March. Every participant/group must remain under the supervision of their area’s core member or a person designated by the core member.
No individual or group shall be permitted to deliver hateful or provocative speeches, or raise slogans that violate the SOPs of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee, whether during the Long March or at the central camp.
Any criminal act committed by an individual shall be considered their personal responsibility. The Core Committee shall have the authority to remove such a person from the Long March or hand them over to law enforcement agencies.
The Long March shall operate solely under the instructions of the core members. No individual, regardless of their status or importance, shall have decision-making authority regarding the Long March.
Responsibility for the management and administration of the central camp in Muzaffarabad shall rest with the core members of the Muzaffarabad Division.
In the event of any dispute, the decision of the relevant area’s Core Committee member or the Central Core Committee shall be final.
