The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee expresses its heartfelt gratitude to British Kashmiris, community organisations, human rights supporters, activists, youth, elders, women and families who gathered in London to show solidarity with the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir during this difficult and painful time.

JKJAAC deeply appreciates the peaceful protest held in London and the principled voice raised by the Kashmiri diaspora in defence of human dignity, civil liberties, justice, accountability and the protection of fundamental rights in AJK.

At a time when the people of AJK are facing serious hardship, communications restrictions, arrests, reports of violence, denial of medical access and growing humanitarian concerns, the solidarity shown by British Kashmiris sends a powerful message: the people of AJK are not alone.

The diaspora has always played an important role in raising awareness, engaging democratic institutions, contacting Members of Parliament, supporting families, and ensuring that the concerns of the people of Azad Jammu Kashmir are heard internationally.

JKJAAC thanks all those who protested peacefully, raised banners, spoke to the media, contacted elected representatives, and stood with the families of the deceased, injured, detained and missing.

This solidarity strengthens the peaceful civil-rights movement and reinforces our shared demand for immediate de-escalation, restoration of communications, humanitarian access, medical treatment for the injured, release or production of detainees before courts, independent investigation, and meaningful negotiations.

JKJAAC urges British Kashmiris and the global Kashmiri diaspora to continue raising their voices peacefully, responsibly and with unity. We appeal to community leaders, parliamentarians, human rights organisations and civil society groups to keep pressing for truth, accountability, protection of civilians and implementation of signed agreements.

The people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir are asking for dignity, justice, public rights and peaceful dialogue. The support shown in London is a reminder that this struggle is rooted in humanity, unity and the collective conscience of Kashmiris everywhere.

JKJAAC once again thanks the British Kashmiri community for its courage, compassion and solidarity.
