JKJAAC Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful, Constitutional and Democratic Struggle
The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has issued a clarification rejecting all forms of armed struggle, violence and provocation. The Committee reaffirmed that its movement is peaceful, constitutional and democratic, and urged the public to rely only on statements issued through its official sources.

Clarification Statement
The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has never engaged in an armed struggle, has never supported one, and will not support any such activity in the future. Our movement is a peaceful, constitutional and democratic movement aimed solely at securing the rights of the people.
We are neither against state institutions, nor against Pakistan, nor against the people of Pakistan. Mr Shaukat Nawaz Mir and all Core Committee members of the Joint Awami Action Committee have repeatedly and openly expressed this position in their speeches, interviews and public statements.
Unfortunately, a coordinated and deliberate campaign is being conducted on social media to spread misleading propaganda about the Joint Awami Action Committee. This includes messages encouraging people to take up arms or engage in violence.
The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee categorically declares that it has no connection with any individual, group, social media account or platform that supports violence, advocates taking up arms, promotes provocation, or spreads such propaganda.
The public is requested to rely only on statements issued through the official and verified sources of the Joint Awami Action Committee and to disregard baseless propaganda.

جموں و کشمیر جوائنٹ عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی نے نہ کبھی مسلح جدوجہد کی ہے، نہ اس کی حمایت کی ہے، اور نہ ہی مستقبل میں ایسی کسی سرگرمی کی حمایت کرے گی۔ ہماری تحریک خالصتاً عوامی حقوق کے حصول کے لیے ایک پُرامن، آئینی اور جمہوری تحریک ہے۔
ہم نہ ریاستی اداروں کے خلاف ہیں، نہ پاکستان کے خلاف، اور نہ ہی پاکستان کے عوام کے خلاف۔ اس مؤقف کا اظہار جناب شوکت نواز میر صاحب اور جوائنٹ عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی کے تمام کور ممبران اپنی تقاریر، انٹرویوز اور عوامی بیانات میں بارہا کھل کر کر چکے ہیں۔
بدقسمتی سے سوشل میڈیا پر ایک منظم اور سوچی سمجھی مہم کے تحت عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی کے حوالے سے گمراہ کن پروپیگنڈا کیا جا رہا ہے، جس میں اسلحہ اٹھانے یا تشدد کی ترغیب دینے والے پیغامات بھی پھیلائے جا رہے ہیں۔
جموں و کشمیر جوائنٹ عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی واضح طور پر اعلان کرتی ہے کہ اس کا ایسے کسی بھی فرد، گروہ، سوشل میڈیا اکاؤنٹ یا پلیٹ فارم سے کوئی تعلق نہیں جو تشدد، اسلحہ اٹھانے یا اشتعال انگیزی کی حمایت کرتا ہو یا اس قسم کے پروپیگنڈے کو فروغ دیتا ہو۔
عوام سے گزارش ہے کہ وہ صرف جوائنٹ عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی کے مستند ذرائع سے جاری ہونے والے بیانات پر اعتماد کریں اور بے بنیاد پروپیگنڈے سے گریز کریں۔
