JKJAAC Demands Verifiable Evidence from Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Over Allegations of Links with India

The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC) has called upon Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, to produce independently verifiable evidence supporting the serious allegations he made against the Committee during his recent press conference.
During the press conference, the Federal Minister presented a number of social-media accounts and screenshots while attempting to establish alleged links between JKJAAC and India. Among the accounts cited was an India-based X account, @Imrankhan136210, which the Minister sought to associate with the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee.
JKJAAC categorically rejects any attempt to establish organisational links on the basis of unverified social-media screenshots, follows, posts or other superficial online associations.
Significantly, further examination of the same India-based account cited by the Minister shows that it has a mutual follow relationship with the Pakistan-based X account @markhorpakoff — meaning that each account follows the other.
JKJAAC emphasises that a mutual follow on X does not, by itself, establish ownership, coordination, affiliation or any other relationship between two accounts. However, if the Federal Minister considers social-media connections sufficient to implicate JKJAAC, then the same standard inevitably raises further questions that require answers.
JKJAAC therefore asks:
Who owns and operates the @markhorpakoff account from Pakistan?
Why does that account have a mutual follow relationship with the India-based account cited by the Federal Minister?
Who are the administrators behind both accounts?
What verifiable digital evidence exists regarding their ownership, management and activity?
And, most importantly, what credible evidence did the Federal Minister rely upon when attempting to connect the India-based account with JKJAAC?
Serious allegations against a peaceful people’s rights movement cannot be substantiated merely by displaying selected social-media accounts and screenshots at a press conference.
If the Government of Pakistan possesses credible evidence of any organisational, financial, operational or digital connection between JKJAAC and any foreign state or entity, that evidence should be placed before the public in a transparent and verifiable manner.
JKJAAC calls for the disclosure of any credible evidence relied upon by the Federal Minister, including verified information concerning account ownership and administration, relevant technical records where lawfully obtained, and any other independently verifiable digital evidence supporting his claims.
The Committee also calls upon independent fact-checking organisations, journalists, digital-rights experts and media organisations to examine the claims made during the press conference and independently assess the social-media accounts presented as evidence.
The burden of proof rests with those making the allegations.
JKJAAC will not allow legitimate demands for fundamental rights, public accountability and democratic representation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to be discredited through unsubstantiated claims, selective screenshots or politically motivated narratives.
The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee reiterates that any allegation made against the movement must be supported by credible, transparent and independently verifiable evidence.
